![]() ![]() Colleen Hoover has gone above and beyond in this novel to make me have all the feels. When I read a book, I want this level of emotion. It was so beautiful and heartbreaking and so many other things. Not only to those receiving it, but to the ones who find it in themselves to forgive as well. I’m getting teary just thinking about it. The moment that Grace steps into Kenna’s apartment? Oh. One of my favorite things to write about is forgiveness (if you read my novel, Words We Never Say, you’d see all of the forgiveness themes). I am a huge fan of novels that deal with trauma and how you come back from it. The plot gave me everything and more that I want from a novel. Not to mention, Ledger comes just as far and is an amazingly kind and receptive person. She was a great character and the development that she went through is admirable. Seeing just how truly remorseful she was and how hard she worked was amazing. I thought Kenna would be hard and a completely different character than she was coming out of prison. So, coming into this novel, I did not expect what I got. Hoover really outdid herself with this one. I can tell you right now that Reminders of Him is currently number two on my Colleen Hoover list, coming in just behind It Ends with Us. ![]() I was in love with the characters, the plot, just everything. ![]()
